News from Katherine
I hope you’re enjoying your summer. I am, although I’m not traveling this year. I’m staying home doing some remodeling, enjoying my flower garden, playing with Maddie, watching Hallmark movies, going to high school volleyball tournaments, and reading. At least a couple of hours a day, I try to write a few pages, but the story isn’t consuming me–yet! I am enjoying getting to know Remy, though. There is so much more to him than we’ve seen before.
THE MOONSTONE BROOCH audiobook has been out for a few weeks and seems well-received. If you enjoy audiobooks, check it out.
I asked the Celtic Brooch Facebook Group recently if there were questions I could answer in the newsletter. Here’s what they asked.
QUESTION 1: With the big bombshell in MOONSTONE, I’m wondering if it prompted Charlotte to do more genetic testing on Erik and Violet’s children/grandchildren to see if there are any anomalies.
ANSWER: Yes, Charlotte had everyone tested, and Meredith broke the news to Elliott in the final chapter, telling him he was not Erik’s son.
QUESTION 2: I’m missing Rick. Will we see him again soon?
ANSWER: We all miss Rick and Jack. I hope we’ll see them on another adventure. They are both fun to write about.
QUESTION 3: When will the next book be released?
ANSWER: I’m on page 72. It will be a while!
QUESTION 4: Where can you go after the last one? I’m still gobsmacked.
ANSWER: The clan will carry on. Everything seems to have changed, but the characters we love are still the same. Everything Erik told them about the brooches can still be true. The rock with the magic still came from outer space. The stones were still bought in Rome, and the story Erik told Aislinn’s mother could still be true.
QUESTION 5: What’s going on with Lincoln, and will he be on an adventure?
ANSWER: He’s in his early twenties and a student at Harvard. I think Lincoln and the twins will go to Australia and have an adventure in THE OPAL BROOCH.
QUESTION 6: I just reread THE SUNSTONE, BLOODSTONE, and MOONSTONE. I would love to see some wrap-up with the artifacts, weddings, and babies.
ANSWER: JC and Emily aren’t ready to get married, and Patrick is now in the Marines. Maybe he’ll come home for a visit, and he and Sarah will get married. I’ll try to invite you to the nuptials! As for babies, Amber and Daniel have a newborn, Penny and Rick have six-month-old twins, and Sophia and Pete have twin babies. Aislinn and Ensley are both pregnant.
QUESTION 6: What’s going on with the McBain twins?
ANSWER: They are back at school, practicing their bagpipes and working on self-control.
