Working Blurb for The Bloodstone Brooch
Release: March 2022
Aislinn Kennedy received a BA in art history from Columbia University, an MA in Applied Critical Archeology from the University of Rome, and a PhD from Princeton in Classical Archaeology.
During the summer before her senior year at Columbia, Aislinn participated in a Greek and Roman Art Internship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. While there, she studied the items in the Cesnola Collection of Greek and Roman Art, including pictures of artifacts stolen during a robbery in 1896 when Teddy Roosevelt was police commissioner. None of the stolen items were ever recovered.
Fast forward a dozen years…
Aislinn is working at the Museum of the Roman Civilization when a collection of Roman artifacts is found in a cave in North Dakota and sent to the museum for identification.
Aislinn joins other researchers cataloging the pieces and realizes the cache is part of the stolen Cesnola Collection. She tells her late parents’ best friend, archeologist Samantha Stuart, and promises to stay in touch as she learns more.
Aislinn discovers an unusual brooch in the collection, and when she reads aloud the Gaelic words engraved on the stone, she is whisked off to New York City in 1896.
When the police investigate Aislinn’s disappearance and can’t find any leads, Samantha Stuart calls her son, Tavis.
Tavis and his three-year-old son are enjoying the Christmas holiday at Austin and Ensley O’Grady’s ranch near Denver, Colorado, along with most of the members of the MacKlenna Clan.
After discussing Aislinn’s disappearance with Elliott, Tavis calls Gabe Moretti in Italy and tells him he’s going to Rome to investigate Alex’s disappearance and wants Gabe to meet him there.
Gabe gains access to Aislinn’s notes and finds a sketch of a Celtic brooch. If a brooch has carried her away, where did she go?
Gabe and Tavis discuss the possibilities during a clan meeting, and the family believes Aislinn has gone back to New York City in 1896 to stop the heist. If she believes she can stop the thief, she could get killed.

That would be a nice Christmas present Elliott!
Looking forward to “The Bloodstone Brooch!” Loved all previous Brooch books!
Thank you for such an intriguing read! Can’t wait for the Bloodstone Brooch!
Can’t wait for the release of this book. I’m hooked on this series!
I can hardly wait. I absolutely love this book series
When Jame Cullen Fraser will find his soulmate?
I don’t know. The Bloodstone will be out next year and it begins the day after The Sunstone ends, so JC won’t be in the book. He will probably be in the book after that, which will be out in 2023.
I’ve read the entire series 3 times up to The Sunstone… anxiously waiting for The Bloodstone. Soon I hope…
I’ve got another three or four weeks of writing left to do and then it’s editing and rewriting so I’m hoping The Bloodstone will be out late-June. The Celtic Brooch Facebook Group is full of readers who have read the series more than once. Each time readers do a re-read they find things they didn’t find the first time. I’m writing as fast as I can. Blessings, Kathy
Can’t wait!!! I absolutely love the people (characters) in your books. This truly is the best series I have ever read, a lot of that is due to the people being still in each book…
I’m so glad you are enjoying the series.
Just wondering on the release date for book 12?
We’re getting close!
2-3 weeks
Who are the guys (chatsvtets) in the picture?
I keep looking on Amazon, but I can’t find it to pre order. Can you tell me when it will be for sale? I just reread all the books so I can be ready!
I don’t put my books up for pre-order because Amazon gets upset when you don’t meet your schedule. I hope it won’t be more than 2-3 more weeks.
Any more information on the time line? I don’t want to miss it but hoping it comes out before school starts so I can binge read before my students work will suck up my attention
It’s live as of 9:00 a.m. EST today
